This illustration was inspired by Sidney Paget's original artwork depicting the famous Baker Street confrontation between Sherlock Holmes and the fiendish Professor Moriarty.
Inspiration for the illustration came from three sources. The first was the original Sidney Paget illustration, the second was a photograph of John Barrymore from his movie "Sherlock Holmes" and the third was a photograph of the Baker Street display at the Sherlock Holmes pub.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
